The XYZ came out of an experiment: how deep can a single concave go before it becomes a liability? Turns out, deeper than we previously thought. The result is one of the deepest single concaves in the Surf Prescriptions lineup, paired with aggressive rocker from nose to tail. Together, they generate serious lift and speed and they reward committed, high-energy surfing.

The outline is slightly more pulled-in than your average performance shape, but the foil and foam distribution keep you paddling well and getting up to speed quickly. Where the XYZ really comes alive is through turns: the harder you push, the more speed it gives back. Drive through your bottom turn, hit the lip, and the board generates speed instead of bleeding it.
